The Shared Life

Built Around Daily Use, Not Showpieces

The amenities at The Ridge answer a narrow question: what does a family actually use when it lives at 7,000 ft for weeks at a time? That is why the clubhouse pool is indoor, double-height and heated, why the landscape is organised as twenty-four named outdoor rooms instead of one large lawn, and why recovery science and villa management are in the hands of specialists — EVAVO and Everly Hotels & Resorts.

The site is 11.5 acres inside 950 hectares of deodar forest, with the Gharshi Valley in front of it. Every visual on this page is labelled as the brochure labels it: the photograph above is a snow peak above Mashobra framed by the deodars, shot on location. Detailed clubhouse and landscape drawings are shared on request.

At the Heart of the Site

The Clubhouse

Everything shared sits in one building at the centre of the plan, so an evening can move from the pool to the recovery circuit to dinner without anyone getting into a car.

Longevity

Wellness With EVAVO

India's life expectancy is around 71 years, but healthy life expectancy is only around 60 — roughly eleven years in which life continues while health, energy and independence diminish. The argument behind The Ridge is that the years worth buying are healthy ones, and that a mountain address can help extend them.

EVAVO brings two decades in recovery and restoration science to the advanced tech and wellness suite in the clubhouse. It is trusted by Ritz-Carlton, Six Senses, Hyatt and Hilton.

What altitude actually does

At 7,000 ft, red blood cell production increases within days, oxygen moves more efficiently and the resting heart rate steadies. The inclines turn an ordinary walk into cardiovascular work, and time among the deodars lowers cortisol and sharpens focus. The brochure's own framing is blunt: three weeks at altitude is not a holiday, it is a physiological reset.

Outdoor Rooms

Outdoors

The open space works as a set of destinations on two terraced levels — a lawn for the morning, a deck for the view, a grove for the shade, a fire pit for after dark. The planting was conceived as a living calendar, so the same walk changes colour, texture, bloom and fragrance with the season.

Service

Hospitality With Everly Hotels & Resorts

A second home in the hills usually fails on management, not on architecture. At The Ridge that work belongs to Everly Hotels & Resorts, which handles villa management, private dining and curated Himalayan experiences. Ranvir Bhandari, President – Hospitality, puts the standard this way: “The highest form of luxury is invisible — felt in the ease, wellbeing and belonging it creates.”

Safety and Engineering

On a mountain, the amenity that matters most is the one you never see. The engineering strategy for The Ridge was developed in collaboration with IIT Roorkee, which brought research-led analysis and infrastructure-grade rigour to every structural decision.
